I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a particularly patient person. I want my intentions to manifest NOW! Of course, we’ve chosen to work within the illusion of time in this dimension, so NOW often takes a bit longer than I’d like. Between intention and manifestation, there’s usually a gap, a period of gestation.
What do we do within this gestation period, while the Universe is busy percolating up results on our behalf? Do we sit and wait? Or do we simply get on with life, hoping and trusting that the results are coming?
I believe in taking a more active role between intention and manifestation. Every seed takes a natural amount of time to sprout and grow. A baby takes nine months before it is ready to be born. That process can’t be rushed … but it can be witnessed, monitored, optimized, and corrected if necessary.
A pregnancy may take nine months, but we are aware of new life taking shape within about two weeks or so.  Similarly, when we set an intention, we can see the beginnings of its manifestation take place fairly quickly, if we are paying attention. Like a brand-new fetus, that manifestation may look nothing like what it will eventually become! But nevertheless, the evidence is there.
Every woman who has ever been pregnant knows how magical it is to discover that our body already knows how to make another person. Similarly, it can be magical to witness the Universe carefully arranging itself, and then arranging itself again to accommodate our intentions.
But do we just watch and witness? No! During a pregnancy, we exercise, we take prenatal vitamins, we cut out certain foods and increase others … all to optimize the natural process already taking place. A gardener that plants a seed makes sure that the ground is fertile, that the seed receives enough water. When we set an intention, our job is to optimize our life for that intention being made manifest. We open doors of opportunity so that the Universe can more easily act on our behalf. We create the energetic state of Being within ourselves that aligns with our intention.
Gestation is a natural part of life. In this dimension, manifestation is a process that unfolds with time. We do, however, have a choice to support and optimize this natural process – or to undermine it. We can nurture the seeds we have carefully planted, or trample them through neglect and unconsciousness.
Is your life a fertile ground for your intentions to sprout, to put down roots, to grow into their full manifestation?
Blessings,
Andrea
