Meditation and Awakening Consciousness Archives

The way I see it, most (not all!) people spend their lives in a little box. The box provides boundaries, a sense of security, an identity. The box tells us how to live. The box eases the responsibility of choice, and so we agree to live in the box.

Some of us look up one day and realize that the box has no lid.

We get curious … what’s up there? And so we begin to explore what is above the box. We expand into the vastness of the spiritual realm. In this upper-dimensional reality, everything is possible, and we are totally free.

We fall in love with “up there.” We focus our attention on this world of abundant freedom. We get a taste of our own Divinity.

The problem is that our physical Self is still living in a box.

The contrast is painful, unbearable even.

Many of us decide to ignore the box, to focus all our attention on the spiritual realm where we can easily experience the limitless nature of our own Divinity.

But the pain of the box is always, always there to remind us that we are still human, too.

Some of us try to relabel the box. We paint it different colors. We rearrange it a little bit. But it’s still a box.

It’s only just a few of us who realize that the box is entirely of our own creation. It has no lid.

And so we climb out.

Initially we may feel lost and overwhelmed. All we want to do is find a new box, one that fits us. Everyone else is in a box, and so we feel strange, weird, on the outside of a society that seems totally content within self-created limitation.

We try to live in a few new boxes, only to find that these don’t really fit, either.

Finally, we try living without a box. We find both power and responsibility. Occasionally we still yearn for the simplicity of life in a box. We feel out of place. We feel lonely amongst all the people who still live in a box of their own choosing. But we know we couldn’t go back, because we’re finally living as ourselves.

We also discover that the vastness of our Divinity is present not only on the spiritual plane, but can be wholly translated into our human, third-dimensional experience. There is no part of our lives where we cannot stand in our authentic self-expression, if we choose to do so.

We discover that abundance flows outside of the boxes. We begin to have fun, playfully creating exactly the reality we want. Sometimes we get it wrong, but at least we KNOW that WE were the architects of our own mistakes, and don’t have to repeat them. And we meet other people who are doing the same, and no longer feel alone.

All this starts with the awareness of the spiritual realm.

But it REALLY starts when we climb out of the box. That’s the scariest part. It’s owning that we are free, and powerful beyond measure … not conceptually, but in what we DO, how we make our money, in our relationships, as parents, friends, as physical beings.

The scariest part is that, for a little while, we feel very alone.

It’s not about holding a belief. It’s about upholding possibility through ACTION and truly becoming the Divine Being you are, expressed as human. Not theoretically, mind you, but in practice.

What box do you need to climb out of? What box needs to be obliterated, because your Divinity cannot be expressed in its confines?

Do it.

Blessings,
Andrea

When we become more conscious, it seems we also become more impatient with the physical world! This can really create a problem when we’re trying to manifest financial results.

Here’s what’s happening.

More than ever before, we’re now able to tap into the super information highway that is the fifth dimension. Intuitive guidance, the vision of our Soul’s purpose, the desire to serve others … all of these are heightened as we develop fifth-dimensional consciousness.

Sounds great, right? And it is! We have SO MUCH MORE information available to us about our Divine nature than ever before!

Except we are still physical beings, looking to create in this third-dimensional, human experience.

The fifth dimension lies outside of the confines of time and space. Which means everything is instant and available. Fifth-dimensional consciousness allows us to tune into all that is possible for us and helps us create big purposeful visions for our life. It’s all right there, right now, and it’s effortless.

This physical dimension, by comparison, isn’t nearly as much fun.

The physical world is dense. It takes huge amounts of effort (i.e. action!) to move energy. We have linear time to contend with, which means everything happens so sloooooowly!

What I’m noticing more and more is that us highly conscious folks aren’t patient enough to truly GROUND our fifth-dimensional vision and guidance into this third-dimensional experience.

Let’s say you have a vision for a coaching or healing practice. Fifth-dimensionally, you see how many Souls are poised to work with you, you witness your global reach and impact, you tune into the abundance of your Divine Gifts and the abundance they will create for you and others … and it is remarkable.

Third-dimensionally, on the other hand, you put up a website only to discover that no-one seems to care. You realize that building a mailing list of thousands may take a LOT longer than you thought. You talk about what you do and, surprisingly, clients do not immediately recognize your Divine Gifts and take as long as six months of “thinking about it” before signing up with you.

It’s slow going in the physical world.

The temptation is to assume that the original vision was obviously not the “right” one. After all, if that vision were the “right” one, surely finding clients and creating income wouldn’t take so much time and effort, right?

And so we try something else – we access the fifth dimension for a new vision, new inspiration … and because we are the boss, we inevitably get one.

Only to discover, AGAIN, that implementing that vision third-dimensionally is not what we thought it would be.

And so it goes.

But here’s the secret:

YES, grounding our vision and our Divine gifts and our purpose into this third dimension initially feels like we’re trying to get a massive freight train rolling through our personal efforts. We have to do annoying, tedious WORK. And at first, nothing much happens.

But there is also immense power in this dimension.

If we stay committed to our vision, if we insist on grounding our Divinity and purpose and stay focused … a little movement happens.

Movement begets more movement. The freight train shifts a bit, and a bit more.

Does that mean income rolls in? Not necessarily – not yet. And I see lots of people who jump ship right at this point … because the little bit of movement seems so dissatisfying compared to the effort we’ve put in.

But if we just … keep going, keep doing, keep grounding our vision, more movement will happen. People are suddenly interested in what we do. We find that we have people responding to us – in person, on our blog, via social media, even socially.

We are gathering momentum.

And one day, it’s as if a dam bursts. We start getting paid – finally!

We grounded our Divine value, we anchored our purpose into this dimension and allowed for that energy to travel through time and space. And we allowed people to respond.

It takes time. I know that’s annoying at times (I’m not a patient person, either!), but imagine if you instantly manifested every single thought you had. Life would be a mess!

The time it takes for the physical world to respond to your manifesting efforts is what you want give you opportunity to refine and course correct and stand in utter commitment to your purpose.

In the spiritual realm, everything is instant and effortless and available. But we live here, in the physical world … and our job, more than ever, is to bridge the gap between the two.

It takes time.

The good news is that, once we have third-dimensional momentum, once that freight-train is moving … everything gets easier. We are in action, we are broadcasting the energy of our vision and purpose loud and clear, and we attract, and attract, and attract.

If you are starting, be patient. Notice the tiny shifts of movement and celebrate them … even if they seem ridiculously small compared to the effort you’ve invested. Movement begets more movement.

Stay with your vision and purpose. Focus on grounding both into your physical reality. The physical world WILL respond. It just takes time.

Andrea

I’ve noticed an interesting trend lately, with both my clients and healer friends.

It seems we’ve collectively gone overboard in the arena of personal responsibility.

I mean, YES, we are 100% responsible for our own experience. And YES, we create every circumstance in our lives. And YES, when something shows up, we need to figure out what “like” resonance in our Being would have attracted that.

Having said all that, we also share our experience with other people. And sometimes, those other people can spread a lot of muck, negativity, and drama around.

For those of us who are energetically sensitive (and I definitely speak for myself here!) it’s easy to identify with vibrational frequencies that others are creating in our environment. And because we have embraced responsibility for our own experience, we think that any negativity is our “stuff.”

For example …

If your spouse is fearful of your venture into self-employment and you find yourself plagued with motivation-killing self-doubt every Monday morning, it’s not that there’s anything “wrong” with you. It’s that you’ve been hanging out in your spouse’s fear vibration all weekend.

That fear vibration will activate whatever latent fear is in YOUR Being (and let’s face it … it’s always scary making the leap into self-employment) and will thoroughly sabotage you when it’s time to get to work on Monday morning.

Since we’re so self-aware and responsibility-conscious, we may start wondering what’s going on … do we “really” want self-employment? Do we have deep issues around self-worth? Do we maybe lack the self-discipline that is required when creating a new income stream?

No. It’s just that we’ve been hanging out all weekend with someone really fearful. It’s not their “fault,” by the way. This is not about blaming your behavior on other people. But it’s not your “stuff,” either.

If your child resents the time you are suddenly spending on your healing practice, you may find yourself getting increasingly grumpy. It’s not that you don’t love your work anymore. It’s just that a like vibration of resentment is triggered within you, and it makes you grumpy about your work.

That’s all.

Sometimes our experience is impacted by other people’s “stuff.”

Say it with me: “It’s not me, it’s YOU.”

Of course, it’s not ALWAYS someone else spreading bad vibes. Sometimes, it IS us.

But for those of us who are utterly dedicated to personal growth and spiritual evolution, for those of us who are the first to admit our faults and mistakes, for those of us who are happy and willing to do our inner healing work and strive for self-awareness …

… well, it’s easy to end up with 150% responsibility rather than our required fair share.

We’ve pretty much conditioned ourselves to look within FIRST. I think that’s great! But sometimes, this leads us to create problems within ourselves that don’t exist.

If you find yourself oddly unmotivated, or resentful, or feeling guilty all the time, or find yourself fearful for no good reason … look within. Do whatever work you do. But then, ask yourself who you are spending time with. Could it be that they are upholding this vibration and it is triggering a “like” response within you?

I know, I know, some of you are thinking: “But no-one can MAKE me feel anything.” That’s true. But it’s also really, really tough to hang out in the vibration of frustration or anger or fear all day and remain unaffected. The more conscious and energetically sensitive you are, the more you may want to look at what vibrational qualities are being upheld by the people you spend time with.

There’s also the saying: “If someone pushes our buttons, it’s an opportunity to get rid of the buttons.” That’s a great concept, but it doesn’t apply. We are all full-spectrum energetic Beings, through and through. In other words, ALL vibrational qualities, positive AND negative, are represented within us. This is the energetic basis for free will and our ability to create what we want.

The energetic qualities of anger, fear, guilt, resentment, and so forth, will always be potentially present in your Being, to one degree or another. You’re human, after all.

So please, give yourself a break. Don’t attempt to walk on water or eradicate all vibrations of fear / anger / guilt / etc. from your Being. It’s a poor investment of your time. Instead, make choices that resonate to the most positive vibration available, so that you increase this positive vibration in your Being.

Pay attention during your interactions. When you speak with someone, you are exchanging energy. Closely monitor your inner reactions. Disengage if the other person contributes a vibrational state that does not serve you. That doesn’t necessarily mean walking away. It may just mean changing the topic of conversation.

Have a chat with your loved one, if that’s where the bad vibe is coming from. Ask your Guides to clear your energy field of thought forms that are not your own. Take a bath in some sea salt.

This is not something to be afraid of or even concerned about. But awareness is key. Sometimes your “stuff” is not yours at all. But if you insist that it’s yours, you may end up chasing your tail on a never-ending and pointless quest for self-healing.

To your infinite abundance,
Andrea

Have you taken inventory of the blessings in your life lately?

When we “count our blessings,” this practice often means listing everything for which we are grateful. It’s easy, however, to fall into the perspective that our blessings have come from somewhere outside of ourselves.

When we count our blessings, where do we direct our gratitude?

We may thank God, Creator or Spirit. But we also ARE God, Creator and Spirit, aren’t we? Can we direct gratitude for our blessings to the Divine Creator that lies within?

What if we powerfully took ownership of all the amazing things that we ourselves have attracted into our life? Because, after all, we create all of it, all the time!

One might think that such a practice is not humble … as if we’re taking credit where credit is not truly due. But I encourage you to try it, and witness not only the profound sense of gratitude and power, but also the overwhelming humility that arises when we acknowledge ourselves as Divine and as Creators. I find that the more we claim our own Divinity, the more humble we become – because when we see ourselves as Divine, we see the Divinity in everyone else, as well.

Try it … make a list of things you are grateful for. For each item on your list, say out loud:

“I acknowledge the blessing of _____ , present in my life through the Divine Creator that resides within me, surrounds me, and with which I am One.”

We can take this even further. Your blessings are not only the life circumstances you are grateful for. They are also the gifts, the talents and the brilliance that resides within you. Not only are these gifts YOUR blessings – they are the blessings that you are here to share with the world.

For every item on your gratitude list, can you think of a quality you possess that made this circumstance possible?

For example, you might be very grateful for your loving marriage. You might then say: “I acknowledge my ability to love, which is a reflection of my Divinity” or “I acknowledge my communication skills, which are a reflection of my Divinity.”

In this way, we acknowledge the brilliance of our Divine gifts.

It’s not something we’re taught to do much in our society – to acknowledge ourselves for being brilliantly talented, highly gifted, or incredibly competent. And yet, each of us has truly amazing gifts! We only need to stand in our greatness,  and utilize the Divine gifts we are so blessed with.

I’ve been writing quite a bit lately about abundance that comes from within, and owning our value. In the end, abundance cannot come from anywhere but the innate blessings that we already have … and sharing them with the world. The first step, however, is to discover these blessings, and claim them as the Divine aspects we are here to abundantly express.

To all your many blessings,

Andrea

I’ve recently realized that the secret to my rapid business growth in the last year is that I actually have no idea what I’m doing.

Of course, I do set very clear intentions. Then I shift my energetic state of Being to align with that intention at the various dimensional levels of my existence. I then take further action as guided, following the energy of what shows up in my experience. (Sounds nifty, right? It is! You can learn how this Saturday – visit here.)

But if you ask me “how” I’m going to sustain or grow my business in the upcoming months or years, I’ll tell you that, while my mind may have a few ideas of its own, I’m actually completely clueless.

From one month to the next, I have no business plan, no elaborate enrollment system, no growth strategy. And every time my mind thinks it needs to be clever and come up with an actual plan, that plan fails miserably … and my intention still unexpectedly manifests from a completely different direction. It’s like the Universe is patting me on the head, saying: “That’s a nice idea, dear. But I can do so much better.”

We’ve all heard that the “how” is not up to us. And at the same time, we know that taking action is important.

So if we don’t know “how” to create what we want, and it’s not up to us anyway, what actions are there for us to take?

Here’s my attempt to reconcile these two concepts.

1. The first purpose of action is to shift our energetic state of Being at the physical level. This level of action doesn’t seem to make much practical sense, but it allows us to attract new results on the physical plane. (I talk about this in the free teleclass I taught last week. If you missed it, you can still get the recording here.)

2. The second purpose of action is practical, linear action. It’s not that we dictate to the Universe “how” to make our intentions manifest. But for the sake of our own belief system and to make it a little bit easier on the Universe, we need to open some doors of opportunity. In other words, if we want to manifest more money, creating a possible avenue of income would certainly help. If we want to manifest a future life partner, we might want to go out in public once in a while. That sort of thing. If we don’t engage in this sort of action, we may receive only symbolic manifestations that carry the energy of our intention, but aren’t really the physical, “real-life” result we were hoping for.

3. The third purpose of action is to make course-corrections. After all, what we think we want and what truly resonates as authentic self-expression will often be two different things. Sometimes we have to experience ourselves in one reality for a little while before we can hone in on what aligns with our intention in even greater ways. In practical terms, that can look like we’re changing our minds, but we’re really just finding our energetic sweet spot. (For example, I completely took private consultations off my website for about a week to experience that particular reality, and then put my hour-long sessions right back.)

This is often where we fall short. Our mind thinks that is has The Answer in the second kind of action.   The mind enjoys being right, enjoys knowing and having a plan. If we forget that we actually have no idea what will create our desired outcome, we might end up believing our mind! We might close off all possibilities of manifesting our intentions through avenues we couldn’t possibly have imagined for ourselves.

You are in charge of creating your own energetic state of Being – the one that matches your intentions. That’s how you’ll attract the results you want.

You are in charge of taking some action … but let’s not kid ourselves for even a second and think that we “know” exactly what will create the reality we want.

We are clueless. Let’s take a whole lot of pressure off our own shoulders and embrace this reality! And let’s recognize that, in spite of not knowing one heck of a lot, we can manifest all of our intentions, anyway.

Blessings,

Andrea
