Focus on the energy, rather than the delivery

About ten days ago, a friend of mine told me about a wonderful networking conference she had attended.  I was so inspired by her account of a collaborative, mutually supportive environment full of joint venture opportunities that I decided this was something I wanted to do.  I looked at the website of the conference, decided that I would look into it as the registration date drew closer, and got on with my day to day life.

Almost immediately, interesting things began happening.  Several people approached me with ideas for collaborative business ventures and projects.  Others offered and delivered unexpected support.  I met a ton of new people through some of my on-line activities.

You see, when I set my intention on attending this networking conference, what I actually connected with were the energies that this conference represented.  And those energies immediately manifested themselves!  This happens all the time - but sometimes we’re so focused on the actual thing that we think we want that we miss what is right in front of us.  A desired outcome is never about the goal or outcome itself - it is about the energetic qualities that this outcome or goal represents.  Meanwhile, we’re busy bemoaning the fact that our desired outcome didn’t present itself the way we pictured it.  We fail to acknowledge that the Universe delivered, instantly and perfectly, exactly according to our intentions.  The manifestation of our intention simply didn’t look like what we expected.

We sometimes miss out on the amazing results that the Law of Attraction drops right into our laps.  We focus on what we think it should have looked like, rather than what we actually manifested.  And, while we’re talking about our tendency to focus on what we don’t have, check out this great article by Edward Mills on his blog, Evolving Times.

Don’t ignore the magical gifts of the Universe, just because they’re delivered in unexpected ways!

Blessings,
Andrea

    Such a pertinent reminder!

Because in the end is it the shiny new car we really want, or the way the shiny new car make us FEEL?
