On Light and Dark Energy

A wonderful question came from Andrew, one of my clients in England: “What do you mean exactly by the concepts of ‘light’ and ‘darkness’?”

Here was my answer, which I thought I’d share with you:

“Light” is the energy that comes from Divine Source, and is what we would consider positive energy. This also encompasses love, joy, bliss, hope, courage, faith, and so forth … the positive energy streams that we access in order to facilitate our Soul growth.

We live in a free will, free choice Universe. Not only can we choose to work with these energies and evolve our Souls, we can also choose NOT to work with these energies and de-evolve our Souls. And that’s the bright idea that sparked the Lucifer Rebellion, or “the Fall,” which was a war in heaven that created the polarity of light and dark. And so Souls across all dimensions and planes of existence chose to either align with Light - or not.

“Dark” energy is energy not associated with Divine Source, which we would consider negative energies. This includes fear, anger, guilt, blame, shame, and so on. But here’s the catch: There is no Source for this energy in our Universe. Divine Source is Light energy. Dark energy is really not an energy at all in itself; it is the absence of Light. And Souls and beings that have chosen to work within the absence of Light must draw on other Souls for energy. After all, they cannot draw on Divine Source - that’s Light. So they choose to create the absence of Light in others.

If you think of Light as also being awareness, or Consciousness, this might also make more sense. Negative influences work by keeping us in unconsciousness. They influence us, subtly from behind the scenes, to create anger, and fear, guilt and blame, and so forth. These are the energies that dark beings thrive on, and they must create this energy in others to exist.

This is why there are so many subtle forces that influence us towards unconsciousness, towards the surrender of free will, and towards fear. I think this is obvious when you look around the world. But when we shine the light of awareness on these issues, it’s like flipping a switch in a dark room - light always prevails. And that is why, when we become aware of the negative influences affecting us, we can effectively clear them.

Dark, or negative, forces are absolutely nothing to be afraid of. To be afraid of something is to give it power … remember, fear is the energy that feeds these forces. We also do not meet these influences with anger, or even do battle with them. We also do not judge the decision to work within the absence of Light. We simply disallow this influence in our lives. We cast the Light of awareness into every corner of ourselves and our lives, and darkness has to go.

As Lightworkers, we uphold that Light is all there is. Dark energy is, in essence, a powerful illusion, since it is not a real thing. It is merely the absence of something - the absence of Light.
