The Manifesting Experiment

As human Beings, we long for answers. We wish we could find the formula, the technique that allows us to create exactly what we want. We know there’s a way because we know about the Law of Attraction and have probably successfully manifested exactly what we wanted at least a few times in our lives.

As spiritual Beings, however, we must eventually acknowledge that our conscious creation process is a never-ending experiment.

Manifesting what we want is an integral part of our evolutionary process. Our Soul longs to experience itself in new circumstances, in new vibrational states. This is why we are inspired with visions and dreams for what our life might look like if we choose.

When we manifest a new circumstance a new level of abundance, a new relationship, a new state of health it is because we have evolved into a new energetic state of Being. Vibrationally, we are no longer who we were, and our changed circumstances serve as the mirror that confirms this inner shift.

Once this shift is complete, the very process we so successfully we used to manifest it becomes obsolete. Because we have changed, how we manifest must change. Sometimes these changes are subtle and we can create fairly consistently for a while, using the techniques that worked before. Eventually, though, the results we want will remain absent. Eventually, new expansion is called for and that always means doing things differently.

Conscious creation as an ongoing process means that we are constantly in a state of experimentation. We know what worked before but we are no longer the same Being. So what works for us now? What is the new method of manifestation?

As human Beings, we love finding something that works. As evolving Beings, however, we have to acknowledge that what works is nothing for us to attach to, because it is always changing and evolving, just as we are.

We must be willing to give up how conscious creation used to work for us, when we were manifesting what we wanted. We must be willing to give up how we think it should work, or how we wish it could work. We must stop arguing with the reality of our own new vibrational states and joyfully throw ourselves into the never-ending experiment of discovering what works for us, right now.

At the end of the day, the security and certainty we long for does not come from knowing how to manifest what we want. It comes from mastering our own ongoing, never-ending change process.  If we are dedicated to our own growth and evolution, the only constant truly is change.

If you’re not manifesting what you want, could it be that you’re stuck on a conscious creation process that you’ve simply outgrown?

Blessings,

Andrea

This is great for a quote! This is so true to anything in life! Transform it to business, it’s not about knowing what actions bring you consistently money, but knowing that you are able to find that action from any place you will be in the future.

Like you’ve said, the only constant is change. :)

Your closing question really started me thinking and opens up pathways for strong consideration! This may hold some answers for me. Thank you so so much!

Wonderful words, Andrea. That MUST be what’s going on for me now…and for the past few years! Craziness. I’m stuck and baffled at the stuckness. Feels like nothing is changing but something tells me this cannot be so. Change is constant even if we can’t readily see it with our own eyes. Challenged presently with being called to be patient vs wondering if I’ve done all I can do, thought all I can think, visioned all I can vision, imagined all I can imagine..for now. Hmmm…

Hi Andrea,

A great blog. I am like Sue. I also feel stuck and wondered why. Now I understand. I have changed in so many ways in the past couple of years but nothing seems to be changing in the way I manifest things. This cleared up the haze and a light bulb clicked on. Thank you so much and have an absolutely awesome day.

Thanks Andrea for that article! I am also like Sue. I feel stuck. Would it be safe to say that by paying attention to your source of inner wisdom is key and maybe really the only constant source of manifesting what you want as you evolve?

The unavoidable companion of principle is precedent. Principle is a tree of life, the wellspring of creativity from which orderly, harmonious beauty issues forth. When we successfully employ a principle like the Law of Attraction, the precedent that is established tempts us to ignore what wants to happen next and the progressive, evolving spirit that is our essence. It is this essence that brings precedent into conflict with principle creating the perception that evil arises simultaneously with good.

We therefore see that evil exists only as a kind of ghost of dissonance that arises between precedent and progression. Well then do the Zen masters remind us that between happening and happening there is no separation. The good that we experience today grew out of the good that we experienced yesterday. And the good that we seek tomorrow will grow out of the good of today. Our tendency to cling to precedent because it is observable, because it seems fixed in our recollection gives us some feeling of assurance against the uncertainties of the future. But it sets up a false opposition that provokes resistance in us to the movement of a benevolent Source.

The last paragraph says it all. The only ongoing successful manifestation process I’ve found is to “feel” your way to what you want by fully resting in and surrendering to what is RIGHT NOW. Like my fave Eckhart Tolle always reminds us “now is all we have” and as you remind us, our “now” is never the same moment to moment! Thanks.

Andrea,
Thanks for your blog. This came at the perfect time for me. Having taken many classes on manifestation and belief change I found myself stuck after major changes at first – like the technique no longer worked. Now I know why.
Today I am exploring consciousness and know that there are ways – beyond technique that are available.
“Let there be light” required no technique.
I am all over that…

Hi Andrea and Everyone,

I’ve been reading your blogs and emails and doing everything I can to move forward in starting up a few of my own business – hand crafted earrings (to start), developing a business promoting metaphysicians and organizing a metaphysical group that meets monthly. I’ve been attending a variety of classes, reading my books and emails from others about positivity and business. I’ve been told I should be in healing and really wanted to take a class that was out of reach due to price. I choose to walk to the bank and didn’t have any route in mind and just before I crossed the street I spied something green on the sidewalk, it was two green bills – $120.00. Was it meant to be? I didn’t intend on walking that way, it was just a fluke. I sent blessings to the whoever left it there and so now I’m taking the IET class I had hoped to go to. I just had a reading from an intuitive and she said say yes to everything. I’m open to the possibilities.

Hi Andrea.
Thank u for a very thought provoking article. Its interesting to see that laws of manifestation are ever changing. Never thought of it like that. Truly an evolving world with evolving beings. Thank u for the insight. God bless

Uzma – yup, the “rules” of conscious creation change whenever we do! And it never ends … which keeps things fun, right? ;-)

12 Andrea Hess June 18, 2010 at 7:14 am

Michael – thank you! Yes, it is about having the confidence that the next abundant action will show up when we get “there.”

13 Andrea Hess June 18, 2010 at 7:16 am

Sara – Thank you! Sometimes it’s nice to believe there’s just “one” process for conscious creation, but in the end, our personal process must always be adapted and re-adapted. The basics remain the same – like attracts like – but as we evolve, our level of power and responsibility evolves also.

14 Andrea Hess June 18, 2010 at 7:17 am

Sue – I am horrible at being patient, to be honest! :-) I don’t think years of patience need be required … that seems a bit much. Maybe an entirely different path is in order?

15 Andrea Hess June 18, 2010 at 7:18 am

Debbie and LaToya – Like Sue, you might want to consider if an entirely different path may be necessary. If there’s something you’ve “always” wanted to do, now might be the time. Total stuckness is often an unwillingness on our part to really step forth into our purpose!

16 Andrea Hess June 18, 2010 at 7:20 am

Pam – what a great story! Thanks so much for sharing it here! It’s amazing how the means sometimes simply appear!

17 Andrea Hess June 18, 2010 at 7:23 am

Ken – I totally agree. Thank you for that beautiful, thought-provoking comment! Precedent can indeed keep us stuck in the past. I think it’s place is more to assist us in relying on the principle, and knowing that, though its application may evolve with us, the principle holds true.
