Manifesting and Divine Power

in Embrace Your Highest Path and Purpose

The art of manifesting is really all about Divine Power. The ability to create exactly the life we want – that certainly is powerful, right? It’s a delicious idea that, in theory, we can all embrace. But in reality … well, it might make us a bit uncomfortable.

In truth, our society is about as comfortable with power as it is with money. The two go hand in hand, after all. Money is third-dimensional power, because more money makes more choices available to us. And we powerfully create our life by making choices!

Our society has seen huge abuses of power. The negative side of power is power “over” others – power gained by taking the ability to choose away from others. Power is not really perceived as positive. The perception of power as seductive, of having a “dark side” (hello, Star Wars!) keeps us in the same love/hate relationship with power that we have with money.

The notion of becoming “too powerful” holds many Lightworkers and highly conscious people back from embracing their power. The most common abdication of power amongst spiritually conscious people is probably found in deference to Spirit, God and the Universe itself. We may talk about our Soul’s purpose as if it were a job assignment or let our intuition or Spirit Guides tell us what we are “supposed to” do – as if we are not truly in charge of creating our own experience.

How much power can we be comfortable with? Can we truly become “too powerful?”

I often get questions from students of my Manifesting Money program on this topic. They worry that, by manifesting their own financial abundance, they may somehow be coercing or interfering with the free will of others.

There’s no question about it – creating exactly what we want is scary. Just this morning, one of my students experienced an uncanny act of manifestation he called “spooky.” What if we really can create ANYTHING we want? Would that be okay? Are we taking away from anyone else, or taking advantage of others, if we embrace our power?

At the end of the day, every person is 100% responsible for their own choices, and for creating their own experience. We all have access to the same level of power. We all are equally powerful in creating all of our circumstances, all the time … even if we do it at varying levels of consciousness.

This is where inequality comes into play, doesn’t it? We are all equally able to access the same energetic resources. The difference between us, however, is conscious awareness of those resources! If we are conscious of our power, while another person is still stuck in blame, victimization, and looking outside of themselves for answers … then while we have the same theoretical level of access to power, in reality, only one of us is leveraging this resource. Which effectively makes one of us more powerful than the other!
At the same time, isn’t this a disempowering perspective to the other person? Isn’t consciousness itself a choice that is available to everyone? Is it ever appropriate to consider ourselves more powerful or empowered than another person, who is also a Divine Being?

But what if they are not aware of their Divinity? Does that give us a measure of greater responsibility?

These are difficult questions we must wrestle with if we are to truly, whole-heartedly embrace our ability and power to create the experience we want for ourselves. There are no easy answers. In the end, we must trust our personal discernment in aligning our power with our own highest good, and the highest good of all.

These are great questions that we all need to ask ourselves Andrea.

To me, greater power implies greater responsibility, and greater consequences when that power is misused. It is a fine line to walk as we grow in our power as divine creators.

Everything we do has to effect someone else as we are all connected. The best we can do is intend to develop our impeccability and choose to support the highest good of all beings everywhere.

I think it is important to align with our Divine Self as an inherent part of our manifesting practice. Getting comfortable with power is a rewarding goal to set ourselves. Sometimes I have to laugh at the ease with which something shows up, and it is at just such times I remeber to appreciate my manifesting abilities, rather then dismiss the object/experience as too small to be relevant. What do others think?

Amazing stuff Andrea. Never thought of it like that before. How comfortable am I with ‘Power’?

It is just a thought, so am going o be consciously aware whether this is limiting me.

Thanks again
Blessings

I agree Andrea, there are certain aspects that might make people uncomfortable because of traditional definitions of spirituality and the like. Some people might see my comedy as crass and not the actions of a spiritual person, or at least I thought, but the truth was that was and inhibition I’d built into my own mind. I had to remind myself, God, or the divine force, invented humour! :-)

Thanks, Zannie. I think aligning with our Divine Self is pretty much why we’re here! I don’t think getting comfortable with power is a one-time goal, though – that would be a bit simplistic. As we evolve and expand vibrationally, we automatically have access to greater levels of both Divine Power AND a higher level of responsibility. Continually embracing power is, I think, an absolutely integral part of our evolutionary journey itself. But yes – the growing ability to manifest is definitely something to be appreciated and acknowledged!!!

I totally agree with you, Lisa! Power and responsibility DO go hand in hand, and the more we evolve ourselves, the more important it becomes to be “impeccable” – love that word. I always talk about being “impeccable” with our intentions (there’s another post right there!).

Amit – I think humor is one of the greatest gifts of the spiritual realm! Anyone in touch with their own Guides (or talking to other people’s, for that matter!) knows that they can be very funny! I always love the graceful humor with which my lessons show up … I think humor and spirituality definitely go hand in hand!!!!

Thanks, Terence! It’s such a great question to ask ourselves … what does it mean to be personally “powerful” and how much power can we get comfortable with?

Andrea, it’s almost laughable (now) how I’ve evolved in my comfort with personal power. A few years back I was actually afraid to embrace my own power. This attitude, of course, got me nowhere but trouble, as you can guess. Really, folks, if you imagine power to be scary, it will be. If you imagine it to be magnificent, it will be! Choice :)

Dearest Andrea…

You are very obviously very much aligned with…and have a very special understanding of…what the true magic of the Universe wants for all of us. It is through your abilities to transpose and convey the emotional, intuitive, and basic meanings of the the messages the Universe offers you…into a simple, yet understandable way…so you can share that message with us. Thank You…

You Are a Special of Gift to Us All…

Namste’,
Dr. Dan
