Here’s the lesson I’ve been busy learning for the last two weeks: When our intention changes, the process we use to create what we want must also change accordingly.

If you’ve been on my mailing list for the last year or so, you may have noticed that I’ve been in a whirlwind of growth and expansion.  I’ve launched bunches of new classes and programs and significantly shifted the focus of my business in the last ten month.  It’s been a storm of positive change with awesome results.  The way I’ve gotten used to operating in the last year has mirrored my desire for rapid growth – lots of quick action and content creation on the fly.  That was appropriate to the results I wanted to create.

My intention for 2010 is entirely different.  I know how to manifest money.  Now, my attention is focused on sustainable business systems and structures that allow me to work a whole lot less and give my clients and students a more cohesive experience at the same time.  The energy of that intention is peaceful, centered, and relaxed.

Sounds nice, right?

For the last two weeks, I’ve been completely stuck in unreasonable struggle over creating a new product (called Money Manifesting Mastery – it is going to be amazing!)  My normal operating mode of the last year would have allowed me to put the whole thing together in about a week.  I would have launched into recording the audio, created transcripts and worksheets, trusting all the while that the material would organize itself during the process.  Basically, it would have gotten done in no time at all!

Instead, I’ve started, only to start again, review, and start yet again.  By the middle of last week, I was thoroughly frustrated.  What happened to my ability to create content quickly and efficiently?

The answer is, of course, ridiculously obvious in hindsight.

If this product is to be part of my business for 2010 (and it definitely is!) and my intention for 2010 is completely different from this year, then obviously my creation process needs to reflect that difference.  If I hadn’t been pig-headed about it for a week or so, insisting on doing my work as usual, I would probably be announcing my new product launch right about now!

Once I realized that the energy of my intention and the energy of my creation process were at odds, everything became very obvious.  I let go of my intended launch date.  I let go of my “usual” way of creating content.  I put myself into the energy of my intention and began creating from that space – peacefully, methodically, without any hurry whatsoever.  And of course, it all began to fly.

Has your intention for your life shifted recently?  How do you need to adjust “business as usual” to reflect that intention?  Have you been struggling, trying to hold on to how you “normally” operate?

Blessings,
Andrea
