I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a particularly patient person. I want my intentions to manifest NOW! Of course, we’ve chosen to work within the illusion of time in this dimension, so NOW often takes a bit longer than I’d like. Between intention and manifestation, there’s usually a gap, a period of gestation.
What do we do within this gestation period, while the Universe is busy percolating up results on our behalf? Do we sit and wait? Or do we simply get on with life, hoping and trusting that the results are coming?
I believe in taking a more active role between intention and manifestation. Every seed takes a natural amount of time to sprout and grow. A baby takes nine months before it is ready to be born. That process can’t be rushed … but it can be witnessed, monitored, optimized, and corrected if necessary.
A pregnancy may take nine months, but we are aware of new life taking shape within about two weeks or so.  Similarly, when we set an intention, we can see the beginnings of its manifestation take place fairly quickly, if we are paying attention. Like a brand-new fetus, that manifestation may look nothing like what it will eventually become! But nevertheless, the evidence is there.
Every woman who has ever been pregnant knows how magical it is to discover that our body already knows how to make another person. Similarly, it can be magical to witness the Universe carefully arranging itself, and then arranging itself again to accommodate our intentions.
But do we just watch and witness? No! During a pregnancy, we exercise, we take prenatal vitamins, we cut out certain foods and increase others … all to optimize the natural process already taking place. A gardener that plants a seed makes sure that the ground is fertile, that the seed receives enough water. When we set an intention, our job is to optimize our life for that intention being made manifest. We open doors of opportunity so that the Universe can more easily act on our behalf. We create the energetic state of Being within ourselves that aligns with our intention.
Gestation is a natural part of life. In this dimension, manifestation is a process that unfolds with time. We do, however, have a choice to support and optimize this natural process – or to undermine it. We can nurture the seeds we have carefully planted, or trample them through neglect and unconsciousness.
Is your life a fertile ground for your intentions to sprout, to put down roots, to grow into their full manifestation?
Blessings,
Andrea

Great words, Andrea. This has helped me see, if I’m really serious about manifesting a specific intention, I need to really nurture it. Thanks for the metaphors. They helped tremendously. We can’t just think our lives into change. We must take that action piece and BE the change. Sometimes it’s challenging to know what the action piece is, but that’s the fun, sometimes.
Hey Andrea,
This is an excellent topic, one that I always wonder about.
OK I feel the essence of my desire, I have a clear and complete picture of what I want and in that moment feel the bliss of it all. Open my eyes and then what? OK, patience, um focus…etc.. Then over time it’s a tricky thing to keep focused on, takes practice and reminders and action and like you said awareness and conciousness, looking for clues or signs of the manifestation taking place and re-enforcing those signs with appreciation and gratitude asking for more.
Hey do you ever offer scholarships to do work with you?
Love ya,
Bill
I loved this article!! You have such a gift for telling things in a way that makes it easier to understand.
Hi Andrea,
I love the way you explain this place….it can often be a place of “manifestation turbulence” if you let the impatience over take you. I love how you are consciously naming all the things you can do to help nurture the manifestation into existence!
En-JOY!

Perfect timing with this article Andrea! I’ve found myself becoming increasingly impatient since setting my intention, so reading these words have made me relax a little. I am naturally an impatient person so perhaps this is a good lesson to be learning
Makes sense. Yes it does. Thanks for the thoughts.
Great article Andrea and as always, right on cue with where I’m vibrating!
I’ve recently experienced a few very POWERFUL vibrational indicators which have pushed me further into “knowing”. What has blissful to me in this gestational place has been to:
* simply take pleasure in all of the synchronicities that appear almost daily;
* refine all beliefs to ensure they are perfectly aligned with the intention;
* take inspired (and fun) action… and
* bask in the vibration!
And these actions have been so reinforcing – you wouldn’t believe the things that have unfolded thus far!
This must be the ride that the gurus talk about and the momentum is just fantastic! I feel like a child on Christmas Day!
Thanks again Andrea for the article.
This is great Andrea. I think the most important part is to NOT undermine it. We do this almost unconsciously with doubt. We begin to doubt that our intentions are manifesting. When we truly know ourselves as powerful creators then we are free of doubt and unconscious undermining.
Thank you for your words and your fabulous work!
Michelle
I like your idea of refinement and optimization of a resolve until it manifests. We can’t sit still, it’s our nature to “do” at all times. So aside from such optimization, there are always dozens of other aspects of our lives which we must constantly create and improve. We create our lives with every thought and action, so we might as well learn to do so wisely and skillfully.
Keep your ideas coming.
Great article thanks for what you are doing!
Nice article, Andrea. It makes so much sense like that
Andrew
I really like the way you explain this, because I am a mother of four so I can relate to what this says. I can set the intention and even believe that it is possible. I guess the period of time or during the manifestation process maybe I don’t visit the idea enough make sure it is watered and nurtured. It is a lot easier to take the prenatal vitamins because the need involves another human being but how do I see my intentions as important. Most of the time I forgt my intentions along the way and then have to revisit the creating process.
