Unexpected Packaging

Quite often when we manifest what we ask for, it arrives in unexpected packaging.  The result of our requests look like nothing we’d ever imagined.  Requests for money show up us business opportunities we would have never in a million years considered.  We find ourselves in relationships with people we would have considered unlikely at best.  Or what we ask for arrives at the most unexpected times, in the most unexpected places.

Why does the Universe have this stealthy way of delivering what we’ve asked for?

It has to do with attachment.  I’ve written about this plenty of times – like the watched kettle that never boils, the active “wanting” energy of attachment actually makes manifesting our intention less likely.

Life finds ways of delivering what we want when we’re not looking.  In its infinitely abundant way, the Universe will find the unobserved nook or cranny in our lives, where we’re not really placing our expectations or attachment.  Inevitably, that’s the route through which manifesting will occur.

If we’re particularly attached to the packaging – we want what we ask for to look a certain way, to come in through a specific door of opportunity – we might easily miss the miracle that has occurred.  We may be so busy looking in the direction of expected results that we disregard what has been created for us right under our noses.

Once we make a request and take appropriate action, it’s important to cultivate an attitude of curiosity.  Look at what shows up – does its energy match the energy of your initial request?  Can you look beyond the unexpected packaging and witness your own ability to manifest what you want?

Blessings,
Andrea

BRILLIANT!!

I was just explaining this to some former clients/now friends of mine. Because of the way things have quickly manifested in my life, it has become an event just to recognize the answer to requests made a few weeks or even days ago.

The Universe is not always as ceremonious with granting our desires as we may expect. And sometimes for me, a manifested desire may “get past” me before I say to myself “Oh my God, that’s exactly what I asked for.”

It’s a good thing I began a Manifestation Journal some time ago. I record all things manifested – big or small.

It’s a wonderful thing to go back through the pages and become so filled with appreciation. This practice keeps me in the state of “knowing” predominately!

Great Article Andrea! I’m passing it along and printing it so that I can view it daily in my office.

You’re right. Intentions can indeed manifest themselves in unexpected ways. I’m going through a very good example of that just this morning. In two weeks I’m moving back to the States after two years of living abroad. My apartment is a giant mass of stuff that I need to sort through to figure out what I want to send back home, and I’ve been procrastinating way too much. I needed motivation to get my rear in gear. Strangely enough, accidentally fraturing my foot a while back led to me canceling my weekend plans with a couple of good friends (our last time to see each other, possibly for the rest of our lives), and this morning they both offered to come to my place instead and spend all day helping me pack and clean out my apartment! And the great thing is that the fracture is almost healed by now (it was very minor) and I’ll be back on my feet well before I go home.

Michelle — I really like the idea of a Manifestation Journal. This is the first time I’d ever heard of such a thing, but it strikes me as an absolutely brilliant idea! I think I’ll start keeping one myself. Thanks for mentioning it!

Yeah, who knew the market would go up at exactly the rate to produce the exact amount or money I asked for…in my retirement account which I never even look at.

Please be wrong one of these days…this is getting boring. ;)
