Andrea wisely said: "Who will you have to become to align your state of Being with that outcome?"

This is a VERY interesting question! My ego first jumped in with, "Oh! And just how will I know who I will have to become?!" My reply to it was, "Use our intuition!"

I think we all know deep down who we need to be - and WANT to be - but sometimes fear and doubt rear their ugly heads. Ego, too, wants to know, "Who do you think you are, anyway!?" There is too much temptation to stay with the devil we know, instead of venturing out into the wild and wonderful yonder.

So, here's to an adventurous new year!!! And to being significantly less dense! (Good one, David!)

Blessings,
Keena

Thanks for this post. One thing I've finally accepted recently is that the purpose of life is to know the truth, and that everything else I do -- in my business, relationships, hobbies, and so on are really just ways to further that goal. What you said about emphasizing Being brought that up for me. -- Best, Chris

I am setting all kinds of intentions for the year and yes, I am creating a new dream/vision board.

How do we phrase the intention?

Which one is best?

#1. I am athletic, toned and fit and wear a size 8 dress.
#2. I am thankful that I am athletic, toned and fit and wear a size 8 dress.
#3. I want to be athletic, toned and fit and wear a size 8 dress.

I know #3 isn't the best answer and I'm stuck between framing intentions using the first two examples.

Superhero Andrea to the rescue please!

Dear Andrea
Thankyou for your good wishes and intentions. I particularly agree with David's and Silver Huang's comments. I, too have several years ago decided it AS USELESS TO FLOG MYSELF AFTER MANY YEARS OF INHIBITING MY OWN TRUE SELF AMD FOLLOWING A VERY RESTRICTIVE RELIgIOUS REGIME. I am now learning just how wonderful it is to live in the "NOW" and to value meditationn as the most important tool for learning about myself and for discovering the Kingdom of God within
My very best wishes to you and yours and all my fellow travellers

I, too, no longer use resolutions, new year's or at any other time. I've come to accept that I will do something once I am truly ready, trying to force it any time earlier out of an illusional need for 'self-perfection' (when we are all already perfect where we are) has never worked. It has been a great lesson in true acceptance for myself.

Once you are ready for something, it'll automatically happen. No effort.

Productivity junkies may vehemently disagree & claim that you should fight your blocks & resistances if you really want to achieve something but what you fight, you only give more power to. Plus I've never seen anyone win a 'fight' for happiness.

But still, one will continue to make resolutions until one decides one no longer needs to. So, more power to anyone who has made good use of them & with the understanding that everyone has his or her own path of discovery to tread, a happy 2009 to all.

I have only ever kept one New Year’s resolution I have ever made in this particular corporeal lifetime. About five years ago I made the resolution to make no more New Year’s resolutions. I am proud to say I have been a rousing success at keeping that one. I believe it’s the wisest resolution I ever made.

Coulda’ woulda’ shoulda’ are three of the sorriest words in the English language. The use of them sets us up to do battle with what is. I would like to add the word “doing” to that list. Ego just loves that word. It makes us busy with something... with striving to be something or accomplish something and again we are at war with what is. The present moment becomes a means to an end, an enemy standing between us and our goal, as though some non-existent future were preferable to the present moment.

“Doing” is all about content and is ultimately meaningless. Ecclesiastes 1:14 reads, “I have seen all the works that are done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and striving after wind.” Do whatever you want because 50 years from now it won’t matter. Or, do nothing because 50 years from now it won’t matter. Impermanence is the nature of the Universe.

I absolutely agree that no amount of doing will create what we want if we aren’t energetically aligned with it. What I find wonderfully interesting is how often it turns out that once I’ve raised my energetic vibration to align with a desired outcome, I find myself somewhere totally unexpected and much more fascinating than my original intention. Every moment is a new adventure. Life always has a much more interesting plan for me than I could ever imagine with my three dimensional brain if I just pay attention, constantly die to the past and fall in love with what is.

If I think my body needs to lose 50 pounds the journey starts with loving and accepting unconditionally my body as it is now. From that loving place I am better equipped to determine what action, if any, is needed. The thought, “I need to lose 50 pounds,” may turn out to not be true at all. Perhaps I have recently gone through a substantial healing phase that has caused me to become significantly less dense and my body is balancing that out. In that case the weight is helping to ground me and serves a useful purpose at this point in linear time.

As I’ve repeated ad-nauseam, “I am a human being not a human doing.” Anything I “do” I do for amusement, playing with form, because in the long run it is meaningless and “striving after wind.” Love is the only thing I need to “be” and that’s as easy and natural as falling off a log.

A very happy 2009 to you Andrea and all who read this comment.

I made a new vision board on Christmas Eve night. This time, I wanted to focus on one thing -- I felt my previous one was too broad and, although my desire was sincere for all the things / events in the vision board, I didn't feel sufficient power for any of them because there were too many targets. So I made a new vision board for one thing. (Hey, something was in the air for us!)

And it's about my personal life. It's not like I don't have a goal for my business for 2009. I do. But somehow, I feel everything will fall into place when I focus on this one goal in my life that is so close to my heart.

Thank you for reminding me about the Being. That's what it is -- to fully align in one energy flow and others will follow the alignment naturally.

Andrea, thank you for all your help and friendship. Wishing you and all your readers increasing joy and prosperity.

This is awesome! This information came at the perfect time to let me know I am going in the right direction.

I have been thinking recently of the concept of "uploading" talents from "past lives" into this life and actually becoming a different person by changing my personality - discarding, adding to, enhancing traits, beliefs, etc. It is all there and all available NOW! All I have to do is choose.

Today was the day I set aside to do this in order to enter into the new year as a new person complete with a change of personality and a new state of Being. There is truly no end to states of Being we can create or choose.

Thanks for the wink and the nod, for confirming what I already suspected, and for helping me believe in my own intuition.
