I love your comparison of us being like little radio stations, sending out our energetic frequencies. Isn't that ever true (although I forget it sometimes). What kind of energetic state are we in? And if it's a low energy stat - then why is that? Probably because it's something that is not in alignment with our true self - and with our reality. Andrea, this is really a great piece on how our energetic states play into our reality.

Reality is the background on which we have to work. If we don't like the backdrop we can always add colors/pictures etc. as per our taste to make it likable or at least agreeable. It is pointless to close our eye and feign that the world does not exist. It does not protect you to bury your head, it endangers your existence.

Thank you, Christopher. It is an interesting phrase "imposing my will upon the world." We can definitely get locked into that, as you describe, and it oddly enough separates us from our true power, doesn't it? We don't really have to work so hard - the world will effortlessly reflect our state of Being back to us. Of course, if we're struggling or battling with the world - having to impose ourselves - then that is reflected, too. I love your phrase "be a steward" - love that! As if the ego serves to shepherd the expression of our Higher Self.

Steve - "shoulding" ourselves retrospectively is never a good idea. Still, rather than moving on sometimes it's a great idea to look at what we've created in the meantime.

Tom - We're so on the same page! I think I actually wrote an article on this blog once that was called "Acceptance before Change." So true!

Blessings,
Andrea

Life is a perfect mirror. I forget who said that the physical universe never lies but that is an accurate reflection of what happens.

It is good to examine our choices when we don't like what we are experiencing. Fighting it just brings us more of the same. I find acceptance to be a good neutral place before summoning the intention to change.

Shoulda, Coulda Woulda. That's what my brother used to say to me whenever I would start whining about something that went wrong. It turned out to be good advice because now I just turn the other cheek and move on. Great post!

Andrea, you've inspired me to sculpt this thought form:

I find that when I impose my will on my world, when my way of doing becomes compulsive, even to a point where I get lost in a cloud of should and must, I lose touch with the reality of my own co-creative signals, and to the extent to which I lose touch with the reality of my co-creative energies and results, is the extent to which I reinforce the habit of imposing my will on my world. I now see this circular dynamic as a necessary cycle for my learning and growth, but one which I need not stay locked into. As I grow and mature more fully into my Authentic Self, I find that I am more able to take responsibility for this dynamic and be a steward to my best co-creative efforts to attract and manifest all manner of love, success, and abundance.

A beautifully, thoughtfully articulated post, as always.
