Yes, I’m STILL on the topic of detachment!
In many ways, developing our intuition and thus our connection with our Higher Self can help us cultivate detachment.
In my coaching practice, one of the exercises I frequently give my clients is to set an intention for a three-day or week-long period and then to take action where possible on any intuitive nudge, no matter how insignificant or unrelated the impulse might seem.
When a whisper of an idea or nudge floats through our minds and we simply take action, our mind has no time to create attachment. Our intuitive messages never come with a reason attached, nor are they particularly insistent. The subtle impulses of our intuition are so non-compelling that our mind rarely bothers to create a story around them. Without the story of “if I do this, then maybe THAT will happen, and I’ll probably feel so-and-so,†there is also no attachment. There is simply our Higher Self, expressing itself directly into action.
Try this exercise on for a day or two. Set an intention, and then pay attention to the random, quiet impulses that you receive. Take action without demanding a reason of yourself. Give yourself the experience of action without an outcome in mind. You may be surprised by what you create!
Blessings,
Andrea

Since our last coaching calls, I continue to be keen on developing my intuitive awareness and abilities. I like your suggestion about acting and not attaching thinking into it. I’m going to try it out this weekend and see if anything interesting comes forth! Thanks!
This is indeed a great idea Andrea! I don’t have to be convinced of it working but it will be fun to try it anyway
