This video that I discovered on The Fluent Self illustrated my last post about imaginary obstacles so perfectly that I just had to post it here!

Have a quick look – you’ll get a good laugh out of it.

Blessings,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,
Seems like we hang out at the same blogs ;)

Been there, done that.
Don’t laugh until I start. If you start first, you will be laughing at me and I will not like that.
Why is it so easy for me to see what they should do to get unstuck, but when it is me that gets stuck, I AM STUCK! I cannot see the first step out of the stuck-rut.
I’m laughing now…

Andrea, this is a great video! I have seen it before as an illustration of those who rely on others to solve their problems, rather than being proactive (and intelligent).

I hope all is well with you.

Andrea
part of me is laughing very loudly and another is kind of cringing as I can see the folly and the ridiculousness of this position. However I agree with Diane that sometimes when it is you it is oh so easy to stand there in bewilderment demanding answers that to the observer are all too obvious.
Love this video, its good to laugh at being so silly and human :)

Funny…. ouch! Both words pretty much sum it up for me. Thanks as always for the very timely nature of your posts Andrea. Namaste’ — jb

I saw this recently. Funny…and sad. Funny to watch. Sad…if we really think about it. And does this happen in our life? How often do we think we’re stuck, and all we need to do is move/change/adjust/etc. And how often do we blame the world around us for “us” being stuck — when all we have to do is move ourselves…

Love it! Sometimes I think the law is that escalator. We forget that the law does the best it can to serve us but sometimes it can’t get it right, but we lock ourselves into it as though we serve it, as though the machine decides.
