Welcome to the November 6, 2007 edition of Carnival of Truth, now hosted here at Empowered Soul! My gratitude goes to Kara-Leah Masina who has allowed me to inherit this Blog Carnival – I hope to do her proud. This has been a wonderful experience for me, and a great opportunity to explore writings from other blogs. We are all here to inspire each other, to add our own unique perspective so that we may all move forward into greater expansion. In sharing in each other’s “Truths,” we can all come a little bit closer to our own.
So grab a cup of coffee and explore some of these great articles.
Marcel Legros reminds us to stay present in Looking Forward to Tomorrow, Living Today posted at Play the Game of Life saying, “What matters is that I live today because there is no other time to live.”
Matthew Spears reminds us beautifully that joy is available to us in any situation in Joy at All Times posted at Loving Awareness, saying, “We tend to think of joy as somehow mutually exclusive to other experiences. If we’re feeling sad, then of course it’s impossible to have joy. Likewise if we’re having a fight or our business is having a downturn. This article points out how they’re not exclusive, and helps the invitation of joy into your life.”
Albert Foong writes this beautiful and inspiring article Love, Sorrow, and Attachment posted at Urban Monk, saying, “Gautama Buddha once said: ” I teach one thing and one only: that is, suffering and the end of suffering.” And what causes this suffering? He answers this question in his four Noble Truths: “The origin of suffering is attachment.”
Rahul Bhambhani touches on a subject near and dear to my heart – our intuition. Don’t miss this article How to Make the Right Decision Every Time posted at Personal Development Advice, Tools to Improve the Quality of your Life, saying, “Each one of us has been blessed with an internal compass that lets us know whether or not we are about to make the right decision in any situation. I like to call this compass “universal intuition.—
SmallTownBS presents My Take On World Peace, posted at Small-town Big-shot.
Todd Goldfarb presents an article the title of which really had me tickled. The Path to a Spiritual Life in 5 Easy Steps is posted at We The Change. He has some lovely suggestions – I especially like the ones about gazing at the stars or images of stars. Many constellations represent certain energetic qualities, and this can be a powerful spiritual practice.
Tupelo Kenyon presents a terrific review of Neale Donald Walsh’s book What God Wants posted at Tupelo Kenyon, saying, ““What if the earth’s major belief systems, religions and cultures are based on an inaccurate assumption? What if the fundamental idea, upon which everything else is based . . . is simply incorrect?†We have been trying to “fix†the effects of this error for centuries . . . millennia. This life-changing book asks a pivotal question in the spiritual journey of mankind: “What does God Want?†This simple, yet profound question implies another: “Are we spiritually mature enough to hear the answer?â€
Paula Gregorowicz presents a wonderful article on her experience in Walking the Sacred Path – A Labyrinth Meditation.
My thanks to all who submitted entries to the Carnival! Keep ‘em coming …
Blessings,

Thank you so much for hosting this carnival – it’s obvious to see the care and attention you’ve put into it.
Thanks for the great round up and for including me in the mix. Very exciting to be able to read other people’s posts I normally would never have known about.
Thank you, Albert and Paula! I’m excited to make this a regular feature on my blog. Paula, I’m with you … in doing this, I really have to sit and read other posts thoroughly, and that’s not always something I give myself the opportunity to do!
Blessings to you both,
Andrea
Great carnival Andrea. Thanks for hosting!

Andrea, I am glad to see that you are taking over The Carnival of Truth. I will submit an article for the next one. Are you keeping the same posting schedule as the one that K-L used for the Carnival. I always enjoy the great articles that I read from each of the Carnivals that I participate in.
Hi Andrea,
Thanks for including my review article of “What God Wants” and your nice comment about it in Carnival of Truth.
This issue is an excellent collection of heart-opening, thought-provoking articles. Very pleasing style and tone.
I appreciate what you do.
Sincerely,
Tupelo

Thank you, all!
Patricia, I’m glad you’ll submit next time. I’m hosting the next Carnival on a Saturday, actually. Sitting down over a fabulous bunch of articles with a nice cup of something just seems like an awesome Saturday morning to me! So, we’ll try it out and see what happens. I’m still planning on doing this every two weeks, though.
Blessings,
Andrea
