Thanks to a lively discussion on Slade Roberson’s blog Shift Your Spirits (read the comments, people – awesome stuff), I’ve been thinking about this whole ascension business.
Now, it’s my understanding that we are in the process of shifting the overall collective vibration of Souls on our planet to reach a turning point – a point where “critical mass” is reached. This level of “critical mass” then acts as a catalyst for change that catapults us into the next dimension of existence. Up until recently, the approach was to raise the vibration of ALL Souls, until critical mass was reached. That didn’t work so well. After all, people are still doing silly things like killing each other.
Right now, a new strategy is underway. Instead of having all Souls raise their vibration somewhat, only a relatively small number of Souls will raise their vibration – but by a very significant amount. The end effect of critical mass being reached will remain the same. Whether all Souls raise their vibration a little, or a few Souls raise their vibration a lot, the overall vibrational state change on our planet is the same.
What does that mean for Lightworkers? We’re all in a hurry. I see it in my practice every day. We are all feeling a sense of urgency, a need for greater consciousness – right now. We know it’s up to us. The doors to a massive shift in consciousness stand open, and the upper-dimensional realms are ready to assist us like never before. We’re doing things differently, and many of us are feeling it. The greatest gift we can give to others and to the world is our own spiritual evolution.
So what happens when critical mass is reached? Will this be in 2012? I am blessed with many wonderfully intuitive and wise people in my life – and there are as many theories as there are individuals. I can honestly say that I don’t know – maybe it will be different for everyone. Through my clients, I’ve caught glimpses of physical devastation that is creating a survivalist mindset, but also glimpses of people just “walking out” of this dimension into the next. And from some perspectives, nothing changes at all.
And then there’s this little irreverent part of me that sometimes wonders if a bunch of tired, stressed-out Mayans were sitting around one night, and someone said: “Do we have to really keep going? How about 2012 as a good place to stop? Otherwise, we’ll still be here doing this next year … “ I know, I know, there’s the end of a cycle that really takes place in 2012, I’m not arguing with the Mayans. Still, it’s fun to image …
We can all tell that a change is happening. When do you think a shift will occur? 2012? Tomorrow? Yesterday – and no-one noticed? What do you think it will look like? Leave your comments, please…
Blessings,
Andrea

Ah, what a crack-up, Andrea! Yes, I love the idea that the Mayans just ran out of steam on their calendar-making task. Sitting around, taking turns with the chisel and one of them suddenly says, “F— it. This is a crappy job and I’m burnt out. Has anybody else heard about the 4-hour work week? How does Alcapoco sound to you? Or Puerto Vallarta?”
I do admit to having curiosity about 2012, that can’t be denied. I guess I can’t offer an informed opinion on when or what the shift will be . . . but a little more humor in this world is a good thing, that’s for sure.
Ahhh, thanks for adding that visual – hee hee. Now I have this image of Mayans slugging back a pitcher of Margaritas …
Thanks, Stacey

Andrea, I do love a wonderful, quirkly sense of humor. Laughter really is good for the soul and the body.
2012 to me is a destination. The Mayans probably knew without a destination we all would give up on ascension. Astrologically they knew the mass ascension would occur around this time and when that happen, time cease to exist. They decided to give it a date so that we can all focus into. We are experiencing ascension right now, why not give Dec 21st 2012 as our focusing point. I bet you, the non-lightworkers are doing that too. They could have the different kind of focus (the gloom and doom kind) but sure everybody goes towards the same destination. While we walk along side with them, shine our lights, soon enough the road will be filled with lights and we all can make it fine in the end.
Hmmm, this is an interesting one! A footnote to this discussion. A group of Mayan elders has interpreted the glyphs and in late November will give us their interpretation of the final prophecy. Should be very enlightening to say the least. If you are interested you can read more of what Drunvalo says here: http://www.spiritofmaat.com/support_an_elder.html
Hi Shep,
Thanks for the info -this is great stuff! It will definitely be interesting to hear the current interpretation. Let’s hope it’s not “To heck with this, let’s call it a night and go have a beer.” Hee hee hee.
