I don’t know about you, but for me, the most difficult part of the manifestation process is letting go of it.

You know what I mean – you do a process, you put a lot of energy into your visualization, or intentioning statement, or whatever your methods involve. You open the necessary doors that allow your manifestation to come into the physical. And then the wait begins.

It’s like the watched kettle that never boils.

The thing is, as long as we keep watching for the manifestation to appear, we are not truly letting go of it. If we completely, confidently KNEW that it would appear in our lives, we wouldn’t have to be so watchful. But here we often are, checking our e-mail, our phone messages, reviewing the day’s events, wondering if we’ve missed something. The part of us that doubts wants definitive proof that this stuff actually works.

What invariably helps me get over this phase is life. My baby starts teething again, or I get distracted by matters such as hiring a landscaper, getting my oil changed, or having an out-of-town visitor. I get completely distracted for a day or so, and don’t think about what I’ve been working on manifesting at all.

And, magically, it all appears. As soon as I look away from the kettle, it boils merrily!

It’s all about trust and faith, really. Do your manifestation process. Send it out to the Universe. Make sure that it is in resonance with your belief systems, and that the doors of your life are open enough to make it feasible. And then let it go. Get on with life without waiting for results. This can be very hard. But if you make your day-to-day business a moving meditation, you will find that the magic happens all by itself. No further input from you is required.

If you’ve been having trouble manifesting your desires, observe your own thought patterns after the process is complete. Do you keep looking for results? Or can you confidently walk away from the kettle, knowing that it doesn’t need your supervision?

Blessings,
Andrea Hess
